Healthcare Assistant Pre-employment Programme – applications now being taken

The NHS values the skills, courage and compassion that former service men and women bring to roles within the health service. So CMVES is working with Salford City College and the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust to find suitable candidates for a Healthcare Assistant pre-employment programme beginning March 2016.

We are keen to hear from veterans, armed forces leavers, armed forces spouses or dependents (must be 18+) who are actively seeking work in the healthcare sector.

The programme runs for 14 weeks:

• 4 weeks training at North Manchester General Hospital to gain a level 1 Diploma
• 10 weeks work based training (25 hours per week) with The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust North Manchester General Hospital. (There are a limited number of placements at this site. If sufficient numbers of suitable applicants, placements may also be offered at The Royal Oldham, Rochdale Infirmary and Bury Fairfield General.)
