The College of Military Veterans and Emergency Services (CMVES) was praised for its continuing support of the Armed Forces at this year's North West Armed Forces Business Awards.

CMVES helps servicemen/women and their families, who are leaving the Armed Forces and Emergency Services.

We work closely with organisations and services that help former armed service personnel with all aspects of making the transition from service to civilian life.

The help we provide includes putting you in touch with agencies that can help you:

• find housing and accommodation
• access specialist health services
