16-24 Military Traineeship recruiting now for February 2016 start

Accrington and Rossendale College has just launched a unique16-24 Military Traineeship in partnership with the and the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.

They are now taking applications ready for a February 2016 start.

Trainees who complete the programme and pass selection will progress directly into Phase 1 (basic) Training.

Applications will also be considered for entry to the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force (RAF) although the course is aimed primarily at those wishing to join the regular Army.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be:

  • Aged 16-24
  • Unemployed
  • Qualified below level 3 (ie, no A Levels or level 3 vocational qualifications)
  • Definitely planning to apply for the Army (full-time regular or part-time reserve), or one of HM Armed Forces (applications for the Royal Navy, Royal Marines or RAF will be considered)
  • Medically fit for military service (as determined by the service you wish to join)
  • Applicants will be required to submit a live application for the Armed Forces and be confirmed as being eligible to begin the selection process before being offered a place on the Traineeship.
