What to Expect

You will receive a warm welcome from someone who has a deep understanding of what it’s like to live and work in the UK’s uniformed services, whether that’s in the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force (RAF), or one of the three emergency services: Police, Fire, and Ambulance. Most of our team members have served in the military or have family ties to it. Many are also highly trained and skilled in supporting the health and well-being of former military personnel and veterans. We see you as a whole person, not just someone seeking a job or a qualification.

We recognise that transitioning back to civilian life can feel overwhelming. If you choose to work with us, here are the steps we’ll follow to ensure your transition is as smooth as possible:

    You will receive an informal, one-hour face-to-face needs assessment (a telephone assessment can also be arranged)

    We will map your military and civilian qualifications to any programs of study or career paths you are considering.

    We will help you find the right pathway for you and provide you with an action plan

    We will follow up on your progress within one month

  • 5

    You will have access to our support for 12 months after your initial contact

  • 6

    We will assist you with form filling and offer general guidance on accessing university, employment, business startups, and apprenticeships

  • 7

    We will connect you to any other services that you or your family may need

Our Confidentiality Policy

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all information shared with us. Any written materials will be securely stored in a locked cabinet and a locked office with restricted access. A password will protect all data stored on a computer. Information will only be shared with your consent. You may be asked to sign a written consent form at the time of your assessment.
